It’s been a while since Dan posted any news on the blog so I thought I’d catch up and see what’s been happening since the start of 2014.
There have been lots of developments behind the scenes, as you know I’ve been attending meetings and completing paperwork which is essential for the development of Dirt Factory. I’ve also worked hard to get the business plan and financials investor ready and we’ve put together a summary document for potential investors. It’s been numbers galore, graphs, j-curves, the schedule of works has been put together, planning permission is underway, we’re pretty much good to go.
Plenty, getting the replacement TR450 bedded in at Farmer John’s, Foel and Llangollen, with amongst others – Jack Reading. The XC bike is on the mend too, just in time for the erm… nice weather.
So what’s next?
Investment. Once we get the investment, we can start to build. So that’s the focus right now, convincing one or a number of investors that this project offers a healthy return.
When do you hope to secure investment and how long until we see Dirt Factory open its doors?
Once everything is in place it will take 4 months of solid construction work to get Dirt Factory up and running. I’m optimistic that investors and sponsors will see the potential this facility offers and hope to be opening the doors this side of 2015.
But Dan, I want to ride indoor dirt now and I’m sure I’m not the only one, it’s been raining non stop for weeks! What can we do to help get Dirt Factory up and running?
Spread the word. Complete the survey. Tell your sponsors how awesome it would be. Talk to us on Twitter. Thanks to everyone who’s been supporting us, filling out the survey – some great encouragement, awesome ideas and food for thought!
We’re super committed to Dirt Factory and want to ride some quality indoor trails as much as you guys do. With the support we’re getting and help from various sources I’m sure it won’t be too far around the corner until we’re all shredding dirt indoors!
