After a very busy first week, I am delighted to announce that we have investments from over 110 individuals and are already over 50% funded. Massive thank you to all of our supporters and investors for helping us get to the half-way point. This is a great landmark achieved and one that shows the demand for indoor riding within the UK.
Here’s a little round up of our first week following the Dirt Factory Crowd Fund Launch Event.
Monday started early with Mark, Gary and I heading south to the Corebike Trade Show and The Bike Place Show at Silverstone – two annual events aimed at cycle industry professionals. This was a very successful day in terms of building on existing relationships and securing new partnerships.
It’s safe to say the cycle industry sees a big opportunity for promoting and placing their products within Dirt Factory. We will be announcing some of these partnerships over the next few weeks so stay tuned for more updates.
Tuesday involved contacting people who had requested business plans and replying to potential investors. Then on Tuesday evening, Mark and I attended the GMBizExpo event held in the Printworks, Manchester where we got involved in some very useful networking.
Wednesday was another busy day and in the evening, it was back to Manchester where I joined in the Chinese New Year celebrations with the Manchester-China Forum.
On Thursday I attended two investor meetings and was delighted to meet with interested investors in person. I would encourage more people to get in touch if you would like to meet face to face.
Friday was a day in the office, following up on some of the new contacts made, sending out business plans and responding to enquiries. We also achieved some great PR coverage in local newspapers which has generated even more interest.
Saturday marked a significant milestone in the Dirt Factory crowd fund campaign. In less than 7 days we achieved 50% of our funding goal. To all investors who have pledged their support over the past week, a sincere thank you from the Dirt Factory team.
Now is the time for people to get behind Dirt Factory and help us reach the start-up target. You can pledge anything from £10 and above to get a share of the business and unique investor rewards.
The Dirt Factory crowd fund is live for 30 days until Monday 29 February 2016. To find out more and make an investment visit the Dirt Factory Crowdcube page. Please remember that as with any investment your capital is at risk.
Very best wishes,
Dan and the Dirt Factory team
