First of all we want to say a huge thank you to our 559 investors, we’re really glad to have you all on board.
When we embarked on this journey at the end of January we didn’t expect to raise so much in such a short space of time. In 16 days we had reached our initial target and the investments kept coming. By day 37 we gained an additional 50% investment which will make the Dirt Factory business much stronger from the outset.
To all of our supporters – from individuals to friends within the cycle media, partner organisations, and those who have helped to spread the word – we thank you for being a key part of the crowd fund’s success.
A lot of you will be wondering what the next stage of development will be for Dirt Factory. In a nutshell, the plan now is to finalise the crowd fund process, secure the venue and apply for change of use before starting the internal build process. Alongside this we will be firming up our partnerships, putting into place all legalities and services and hopefully getting out on our bikes a bit more than we have done recently.
We know there’s a lot to do in the coming months and getting the doors open will be a great undertaking. This is a challenge that the team are really looking forward to and our Crowdcube success has given us a great kick start. A further benefit of crowd funding the Dirt Factory business is the diverse range of people who are now part of the team. These 559 individuals bring with them a range of skills, knowledge and expertise that will strengthen our business in addition to their investment.
We have already been contacted by various Dirt Factory investors who want to get more involved by offering their assistance in the next stage of development. We are really looking forward to working with our investors, supporters and partners over the coming months to get the Dirt Factory doors open.
We promise to keep everyone up to date as we progress into the next phase of Dirt Factory development. Thanks again and please use the comments section below to add your thoughts or ask questions, we love to hear your feedback.
Happy trails and best wishes,
Dan and the Dirt Factory team
